The Treatment

What is an oxygen facial?

An oxygen facial uses a handheld applicator to deliver a stream of pressurised oxygen carrying a hyaluronic acid and vitamin serum onto the skin. The pressure drives that serum further into the upper layers than topical application on its own can achieve.
The immediate effect is volume. Hyaluronic acid holds many times its weight in water, and when it is pushed into an already hydrated environment the skin plumps, fine lines soften and the surface reflects light far more evenly. There is a cooling, faintly tightening sensation as it works, which most clients find the most pleasant part of the treatment.
It is the most purely cosmetic treatment on our menu, and we mean that as a compliment. It does not resurface, it does not exfoliate aggressively, and it asks nothing of your recovery time. It makes skin look its best right now — which is exactly what you want the day before a wedding, a shoot or a significant meeting.

Benefits

Why Choose Oxygen Facial at Kaaya

Everything you want from a facial the day before it matters, and nothing you would have to explain afterwards.

Instant plumping

Hyaluronic acid driven into hydrated skin fills it out visibly, so the face loks fuller and fresher immediately.

Camera-ready glow

Evenly hydrated skin reflects light rather than scattering it, which photographs considerably better than a matte, dehydrated surface.

Deeper serum delivery

Oxygen pressure carries actives further into the upper layers than they would reach if simply applied by hand.

Calming and cooling

No acids, no abrasion and no heat, so it suits reactive, flushed and rosacea-prone skin that finds other treatments too much.

Softer fine lines

Fine dehydration lines around the eyes and mouth soften as the skin beneath them plumps back out.

Genuinely zero downtime

No pinkness to wait out and no peeling. You can book it at lunchtime and be photographed the same evening.

The Ritual

How your oxygen facial runs

An hour of hydration and calm, with the pressure and serums chosen for your skin.

01

Consultation & cleanse

We check hydration, sensitivity and what your skin needs on the day, then double cleanse thoroughly.

02

Gentle exfoliation

A topical anaesthetic is applied and left for twenty to thirty minutes so the treatment itself is comfortable.

03

Extractions if needed

Any congestion is cleared carefully — kept brief and gentle, because this treatment is about calm rather than deep clearing.

04

Oxygen serum infusion

Pressurised oxygen carrying hyaluronic acid, vitamins and peptides is applied section by section across the face and neck.

05

Lifting massage & mask

A firming massage and a hydrating mask lift circulation and settle everything into the skin.

06

Moisture & SPF

Moisturiser and broad-spectrum sunscreen to finish, with skin ready for makeup straight away if you want it.

Oxygen Facial vs Hydro Facial vs Glow Facial — Which Is Right for You?

Three no-downtime facials — hydration only, hydration plus deep cleansing, or the full classic facial.

How Oxygen Facial Compares With Hydro Facial and Glow Facial

Oxygen Facial Hydro Facial Glow Facial
How it works Pressurised oxygen infusing hydrating serum Water-based exfoliation with vortex suction Cleanse, exfoliate, extract, massage, mask
Best for Hydration, plumping, pre-event glow Congestion, blackheads, dehydration Radiance and general maintenance
Downtime None None None
Typical course Monthly, or before events Monthly Every 4–6 weeks

These are guides rather than rules. At consultation we look at your skin and tell you which of the three will actually move the needle for your concern.

Suitability

Is an oxygen facial right for you?

A great fit if you want to…

This is among the gentlest treatments we offer — no acids, no needles, no abrasion — so it suits sensitive, reactive and rosacea-prone skin, and it is one of the few we can offer largely unchanged during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It is also a good option immediately after a stronger treatment course, when skin needs comfort rather than more activity.

Concerns it helps with:

Dehydration
Dullness
Tired-looking skin
Fine lines
Sensitive skin
Pre-event prep
Post-treatment recovery

Before you book: when this treatment is not appropriate

Be clear about what it does not do. An oxygen facial hydrates and plumps beautifully, but it will not fade established pigmentation, resurface scarring or build collagen the way needling does. It is a finish, not a fix. For structural change we would recommend microneedling or a peel — and often the best plan is a course of one of those, with oxygen facials scheduled before the occasions that matter.

If this is not quite the right treatment

If you want a deeper clean alongside the hydration, a Glow Facial includes steam and extractions. For a longer, more layered hydration ritual, the Korean Facial builds moisture in stages across six steps.

Questions

Oxygen Facial FAQs — London, Ontario

How long do the results last?
The visible plumping is strongest for three to seven days, and the hydration benefit lasts longer if your home routine supports it. It is a treatment timed to an occasion rather than one that changes your skin permanently.
The same day or the day before is completely fine. There is no downtime, no pinkness and nothing to settle, which is what makes it the standard choice for the day before a wedding.
It is among the safest treatments on our menu during pregnancy and breastfeeding, since it involves no acids, retinoids or needling. Let us know at booking and we will confirm every product we use.
A hydro facial cleanses, exfoliates and extracts as well as hydrating, so it is the better choice if you have congestion and blackheads. An oxygen facial focuses purely on hydration and plumping, which makes it gentler and better suited to sensitive skin or a pre-event glow.
Yes. Dermaplaning immediately before an oxygen facial is a popular pairing — removing the dead cell layer and peach fuzz first lets the infused serum absorb better and leaves makeup sitting perfectly flat.
